What are three big things in social entrepreneurship in 2009?
Filed in archive General , Information about on January 7, 2009

As we are in the beginning of the year 2009, I wanted to ask you a futuristics! question: What are the top trends in the year 2009 in area of social entrepreneurship?
I personally think there are 3 movements which have already started and will continue in 2009 as well:
The first one is creating start-ups around environmental friendly concepts. The global economy is now caring more about such things and therefore investments won't be stopped.
The second one would be producing cheap high-tech products for the developing countries: We have already seen mobile phones and laptop examples and I believe more products are coming...
And the third one is innovations in microfinance: As economic downturn has put a lot of people under increasing pressure, social entrepreneurs will find this a good opportunity area to jump in and crate value for the needy people.
What do you think?
