Social entrepreneurship: The path less traveled

This is an unconventional path but many fear walking this path less traveled as it doesn't have the thrills and frills associated with for profit businesses but the trend seems to be changing with young entrepreneurs making an effort to bring together best of not for profit and for profit world.
The job of a social entrepreneur is to bring about a transformational change for the benefit of others. It brings together social mission along with business vision. The thought process of entrepreneurs of today is different - they intend to club together entrepreneurship and philanthropism, what they want to achieve at the end of the day is social innovation.
The youngsters of today are passionate and they intend to take their social ideas from incubation stage to a full blown social enterprise within a short span of time. This is something which I will be covering more of in my future posts.
