*In Canada, is it sustainable development or responsible development? Does it matter?

*New head of the United Nations Environment Programme calls for the environment and economic development to play on the same team.

*The Financial Times released its Sustainable Banking Awards last week and Motley Fool has the lowdown.

*This just in ... YouThink has received a Webby Award for activism. Via the Poverty and Growth Blog.

*At the Guardian, Anna Coote wonders if the UK's NHS has what it takes to deal with the implications of future climate change. Does any national health service?

*Environmental and business groups in Europe urge the EU to adopt a strong common vision on sustainable development.

*Gore's 1,000 messengers go grassroots.

*Houtlust has news on SOStenibilidad, a campaign sponsored by the Spanish water and sustainable development Expo Zaragoza 2008 and Acciona.

*Who's the who's who of journalists and media types covering sustainable development? Vote and nominate journalists at Journalists For Humanity.

*forestry company CEO's and presidents sign on to a leadership agreement on sustainablity. Now if only there's a way to hold them accountable?

*The Earth Negotiations Bulletin has a report on the seventh meeting of the United Nations Open-ended Informal Consultative Process on Oceans and the Law of the Sea (Consultative Process or UNICPOLOS).
