I'll start off the week here with a round up of links to stories mainly on social enterprise, and move into a bit more focused posts over the next few days. *A recent Yale symposium discussed how technology can facilitate globalization across different sectors and how, in turn, to facilitate its advancement.

*Two social enterprise groups, ethiquette.ca and alonovo.com have announced plans to deliver alonovo.com's integrated social values driven e-commerce portal to Canada.

*On Wednesday, leading ethical companies will gather in London to discuss sustainable careers.

*At GlobeShakers, a podcast interview with Bill Strickland, President and CEO of the Manchester Bidwell Corporation, who has created an innovative youth development and adult training center in Pittsburgh.

*Car sharing schemes in the UK look interesting. And here's a guy who will clean them up.

*MIT Press has launched a new journal called Innovations, which focuses on the intersections between technology, governance and globalization. Spotted at the Private Sector Development Blog.

*For those in New York looking to scale up, Seedco Financial Services is offering funding tailored specifically to the needs of New York City-based nonprofit organizations in the field of human services. The New York City Human Services Loan Fund provides below-market rate loans that range from $100,000 to $500,000 to help nonprofits meet their cash flow, construction, or program expansion needs.

*The latest group of StartingBloc Fellows have graduated from a three-month intensive program dedicated to social innovation and social enterprise.

*Upcoming … the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies will have its fourth annual conference, Creating Sustainable Communities, in Burlington, Vermont this June.

*Do the UK's Conservatives know how to fight poverty better than the Labour party?

*A $400,000 grant is helping Canadian researchers study social enterprise development from Northern Ontario to Saskatchewan.
