Medecins Sans Frontieres in Somalia
Filed in archive Int'l Development by Miche on April 29, 2007

for more than a decade, and it is coming apart at the seams. The most recent concern, as reported by BBC, is a worsening cholera epidemic.A medical charity, Medecins Sans Frontieres, is desperately trying to help with the situation, but the people have grown so afraid, it seems they would rather die of cholera than succumb to whatever fate may befall them should they seek medical treatment.
The violence is not only hindering the patients, but also any preventative measures. And I'm sorry to say it, but it doesn't look like the American government is helping any.
