When asked what their main goal is, their - well I suppose I would call him a co-founder - who identifies himself as Animus Invidious, responded quite enthusiastically "why, to expand the collective consciousness of the world, of course! In other words to aid the coming about of the paradigm shift of the collective mindset of humanity to a more enlightened, harmonious vibe."
They call themselves the Gnostic Elevator, and he goes on to describe their group as "a freeform creative collective founded by several independent musicians / graphic artists in Albuquerque, NM."
Pretty simple right? Well, in case you missed it - he said "freeform," and he means it. They don't have a leader or a hierarchy, ideas come from everywhere and go everywhere - and they have their sights set on global change. The rest of their politics are pretty complicated too. They believe in barter, and are not just a non profit, but a not for profit wholly volunteer organization. These guys are seriously all about the social bottom line.
Their products are thought provoking works of art in all mediums, and are usually given out for free. Currently they're working on two CDs which you can find out more about at the Gnostic Elevator MySpace page.
