Don't believe everything you read

A couple days ago I told you about Big Pharma funding doctor education, and the bias it creates. If you didn't already, you should also know that studies are developed to prove a hypothesis that will increase sales for whatever it is they are "studying." As I mentioned before, the tobacco industry has a whole institute devoted to making cigarettes look like candy.
Corporate transparency is a major issue
If it is readily accessable in the mainstream, then generally it is not to be believed. I've already covered how the government tampers with news - this is very common practice folks!
I can't emphasize this enough: studies are conducted to prove a favorable hypothesis. Whoever funds a study does so because it will increase their profits. Think about it, what business in their right mind would pay for something that would do anything other than increase their sales?
This is why the money trail is so important
The American Chemistry Council was to fund an EPA study on the effects of Pesticides in young children. There were two big problems with this study however, and the study was called off. Why? Two years is not long enough for the effects of pesticides to show up, and the ACC receives money from the pesticide industry.
Can anyone say DUH?!
For a bit of current unbiased information on what pesticides are proven to do to humans, including cancer, fertility problems, and brain tumors, plus information on how you can minimize those consequences, go check out the article at SixWise.
