The project will utilize 75 degree water discovered 7,200 feet beneath the city, and a network of pipes and underfloor heating, to deliver the eco-friendly heat to the houses.
The full price is going to run over $60 million (U.S.), but that calculates out to just over $15,000 per house, and everyone has been guaranteed heating bills comparable to those of traditional heating methods.
This will save them an estimated 4,000 tons of CO2 annually - definitely a big leap toward their goal of being CO2-neutral by 2050.
