Bicycling Empowerment Network rides to the aid for Africans

This story on a father-son team that's been riding for Namibians as part of the Bicycling Empowerment Network:
The 600-mile ride was part of a fundraising effort for BEN Namibia, the nonprofit "Bicycling Empowerment Network" that provides affordable transportation to disadvantaged Africans.
David, 17, is an avid cycler who read about BEN Namibia in a cyclingmagazine. He and his father often ride together on the weekends, and David thought that if they pushed their hobby a little further, they could do something good for the world.
"I really feel like we're helping out specific people," he said.
BEN Namibia sends secondhand bikes, parts and accessories from charities overseas to South Africa. It employs and trains people there to become bike mechanics.
