Every few weeks or so I'll likely highlight recent books I've come across in my searches as well as links to forthcoming books from presses that specialize in international development, social entrepreneurship, and NGO issues. So here's the first edition of the 'Audeamus Great Reads' ...

*The first is Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap... and Others Don't, by Jim Collins. Find out more about the book in a mini-review over at Social ROI.

*Just released at Jossey-Bass is Robin Hood Marketing: Stealing Corporate Savvy to Sell Just Causes, by Katya Andresen, vice president of marketing at Network for Good.

*Over at Kumarian Press, a few interesting titles are forthcoming. Out in July is Development and the Private Sector: Consuming Interests, by John Sayer, which looks at the impact of the private sector on development, through core business practices, corporate responsibility endeavors, and philanthropic activities.

*Last for this week is Venture Forth! The Essential Guide to Starting a Moneymaking Business in Your Nonprofit Organization, by Rolfe Larson, published by Fieldstone Alliance. A number of other new books from Fieldstone can be found here.
