Today GlobaLab points out a project at One World Trust called the Global Accountability Index, which will launch in December. The GAI will look at 30 top organizations from public, private and non-profit sectors, comparing and contrasting their accountability along the way.
The accountability of these organisations will be analysed according to four key criteria – transparency, participation, evaluation, complaint and response mechanisms.
The focus of the index will be on existing systems and structures and forms of commitment to accountability at the head offices of the organisations.
The list has some pretty heavy hitters so it will be interesting to see what they come up with.
